Southampton values and promotes voluntary and community action throughout the city and has many ways of supporting this. Southampton Voluntary Services is the umbrella organisation in the city providing voluntary & community groups working in Southampton with independent support and an independent voice. There are also many other opportunities to get involved in community services to support the city.

Community Builders Project is aimed at helping people to set up arts and crafts based community groups, for ages 18-65, in urban and rural areas around Southampton, the New Forest, Test Valley, Winchester and Eastleigh.
