Youth Co-Chairs/City Council Committees Do you feel passionate about issues that affect you? Do you want to have your say and make sure that they voice of young people is heard in your Local Authority? Would you be interested in co-chairing a city council led committee or steering group? If so then please do get in touch, we have lots of opportunities for young people to get involved in a hands on way with many of our groups and committees.
Children’s Hospital Consultation A group of young people are helping the Southampton University Hospitals Trust to design services for children and young people in hospital, if you have experience of healthcare in Southampton or are interested in what the provision is for young people then please get in touch and get involved with this exciting project.
One off consultations If you have a view about any current issue that is important for young people then we conduct a whole range of consultation and participation events – when don’t you be the first to bring your idea to the table and see what other young people in the city think.
National opportunities to get involved
The 2009 Project has a simple aim; to get every eligible person under 35 to vote at the next general election. The Project will only succeed if all 13 million voters under the age of 35 pledge to take part in the next general election

The Queer Youth Alliance run by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) Young People.
