New website coming soon - VISIT SOUTHAMPTON
The Discover Southampton website is having a new look and a new name!
Go! Southampton is working with several stakeholders including Southampton City Council to launch a brand-new visitor site for Southampton - Visit Southampton (www.visit southampton.co.uk)
This will launch in early May 2019 and will feature listings from all the *businesses in Southampton as well as events, attractions and visitor information - a one stop shop for all things Southampton.
New Events Listing
The events listings on the new website will be in association with The LIST - they have the most comprehensive listings in the UK and they publicise and promote a wide range of arts, events and entertainment.
New Form - If you have an event or activity that you wish to submit that takes place from May onwards, you will need to complete a new form.

Venues outside the Southampton City Administrative boundary
All event venues outside the Southampton City Administrative boundary can still submit event listings through The LIST, however, they will not appear on the Visit Southampton website, but will appear on the LIST Guide website. Please use on-line form >
How to submit your event to the new Free Events Listings
Before you start, please read the Guide to Listings >
Create your own account > This will allow you to sign in and start submitting your events.
Anyone can take advantage of the four functions to send information on events, as well as places where events are held (venues). Add an Event / Update an Event / Add a Place / Update a Place.
Please submit your event a minimum of 14 days before the event start date, to allow time for publishing.
Information submitted is reviewed by The List's content team for accuracy and relevance. Please note that they do not guarantee listings will be published.
Urgent information, such as changes to or cancellation of an existing event, is valuable at any time, otherwise general information or new event listings less than 14 days in advance are most unlikely to be processed.
If you have a large number of events to submit (30 or more), The List can accept structured files, JSON or XML, or semi-structured data such as CSV. They can process data direct from a large range of box office systems.
The minimum dimensions for image sizes is 640px width by 480px height. There is no maximum dimension but the image must have a file size of under 12MB, otherwise it can't be processed. If the dimensions of your image will disrupt the page layout or the text on your poster will be too hard to read, the image will be cropped.
